About
Some may wonder why the name ‘debounce’/'debouncing’. This was a word that I have grown accustomed to and become strangely fascinated with. It is a word that is associated with using a mechanical switch and is used to describe the means (whether it be mechanically or using software) to minimise the ‘noise’ that is generated when a switch is pressed. The word itself is interesting as it showed to me that nothing is ever perfect (even a ’simple’ switch) and that there is an inherent ‘noise’ that exists in the real world.
This is a blog that will hopefully filter out a lot of the ‘noise’ existent in many other web resources and hopefully offers a more interesting look at things that are ‘geek’ related as well as stuff that software geeks will find useful: whether it be in iPhone development or general software engineering.
There is a special section on photography which will hopefully help the geeks out there who want to get into photography and are fascinated by the knobs, switches and functions that a DSLR camera provides.
